In September of 2006, fell in love with the Fisherman Shrug pattern on the Lion Brand Yarn website and bought the five skeins of Wool-Ease Thick and Quick. Finished knitting the pieces. In October 2006, I received a corrected pattern for this shrug. It was full of errata, I had to frog it. Instead, I set it aside because I was bummed that all that knitting was done for naught.
In 2014 my husband of 33 years passed away. I had to move to the Mojave Desert in 2015. While unpacking, I found my shrug. On August 11, 2017 I frogged it and cast on.
Today I finished the back and am half way through the first sleeve. God willing and the creek don’t rise, I’ll finish it.
Barbara’s podcast is fun to watch. This episode is full of crafty goodness.
The silk Self Gris she knitted is perfectly beautiful 💖
The toddler’s Wallaby cardigan is a quick charity knit. The eyelet detail makes it a bit fancy.
Hope you have a great time watching this episode.
Opera Jo shared her trip. I have always wanted to go. Now I know how much fun it is to go.
She and her friend looked great in their hand made outfits.
Looking forward to seeing the socks she knit while there.
Cristi unexpectedly sang a bit of a song. I sang along then laughed along.
Her sock knitting inspires me to cast on.
I would love to visit her stash.
Love Sue and Chelsea.
Chelsea is pregnant with Sue’s first grandbaby.
Sue vs brioche is funny and informative.
Wish I could buy their hand-dyed yarn 🐑
Had lots of fun watching this episode. Beautiful FOs. The Helen Stewart shawl is outstanding. The cowl is enticing. I have stash yarn which may be perfect.
Give a listen to the music. Two of the songs brought happy memories.
